Made with Toray lay up and Nano Epoxy Resin for high impact resistance. Our carbon drop bars share the shapes as our alloy brethren utilizing 3 profiles: a mid flat, a round profile, and the flared dirt drop. The mid flat is minimal in design and big on comfort. The flat diameter stays small enough so to not restrict hand movements when riding on the tops.

Concave shaping on the bottom tucks and routes the housing to be out of the way. The round cross profile and flare dirt drop share similar top profiles with custom ergonomic bends. Our gravel bar features internal routing and 25 degree flare. They're hands down the nicest gravel bars in the market.

The process yields precisely engineered stiffness and flex, while keeping the weight to a minimum. 1.5K woven impact ends help prevent damage to unidirectional fibers from impact.

Are your bars made in Macon at your facility?

No, our carbon bars are the first product designed by us, but manufactured in Taiwan.

What colors are available?

Our alloy bars are black and our carbon bars are the natural UD carbon fiber with matte finish. All graphics are under the clear?

What if I crash?

If the carbon fiber is scratched or gouged, replace the bar. Minor clear-coat scratches can be sealed with clear nail polish.

So, why a Thomson carbon bar?

It's simple really. Our required tolerances and supervision of manufacturing are superior to what is available to you from other brands. This will translate to better fit and fewer issues with slipping.

The recommended torque is only 5Nm. Is that enough?

Yes. If you have carbon components and do your own work, you must use a torque wrench and follow all torque specifications. Use carbon paste to ensure zero slippage (it's a real word).

May I use aero bar clip-ons or cyclocross auxiliary brake levers?

Yes. Just keep all accessory clamps inside the area marked on the bar as safe for clamping. There is 90mm total safe clamp area available.

Should I use friction paste on my carbon road bars?

Yes. Thomson carbon fiber road, cyclocross and gravel bars should be assembled with friction paste on the stem and bar. A small package of friction paste is included with your bar. When you run out you can purchase more at your local bike shop.
