Boyd Bracken Trail 29er Boost Alloy

Boyd Cycling

$750.00

Description

The climb is the toll. The line is the reward.

"Trail riding" can mean a mellow afternoon on flowing singletrack. It can also mean eyeing a questionable line, pointing the bike downhill, and deciding the brakes are probably optional.

The new Boyd Cycling Bracken Trail wheelset was built for the second group.

Durability

The rim incorporates a reverse hook at the leading edge of the extrusion, adding material and support where hard impacts punish a rim most. The result is greater resistance to the kinds of square-edge hits and less-than-elegant landings that can quickly end a ride.

Quick Engagement

With just 0.5 degrees of free movement before engagement, the Sixtus rear hub responds immediately when power hits the pedals. Ratcheting through technical climbs, hopping over obstacles, or getting back on the gas between features happens without waiting for the drivetrain to catch up.

Stronger at the Bend

A stronger rim and hub deserve spokes built for the same abuse. Bracken Trail debuts a spoke design featuring a reinforced elbow that delivers a 30% increase in tensile strength, strengthening one of the most highly stressed areas of a traditional spoke.
